Introducing Fab Lab Cardiff

FabLab Cardiff is open for people to ‘make almost anything’. It is equipped with technologies for 3D printing, laser cutting, vinyl plotting, CNC milling, CAD, PCB manufacture, electronics and programing.

Accredited by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, FabLab Cardiff builds on the experience of the global FabLab network, as well as the research and technical expertise of Cardiff School of Art & Design, to stimulate both business and everyday people in Wales to make just about anything. Essentially, FabLab Cardiff is an experimental workshop for Wales and beyond.

FabLab is a technical workshop open to members and, occasionally, non-members for direct hands-on experience. It is a place where people get more than a head-start in the application of cutting edge technologies to design and manufacture objects. With the best of contemporary technologies and the ability to draw on expertise from the worldwide FabLab network, FabLab provides for businesses, inventors, students, schools and the just plain curious to engage directly with their ideas in very real ways, in a supportive and very well informed environment.
